Absence and tardy notes are to be sent to the classroom teachers upon the students return.

Radio and television stations will carry school delayed opening or closure information. Please do not call the school or the radio and television stations as it ties up the telephone lines.

In the event weather forces schools to close for more than five (5) days, make-up days have been scheduled at the end of school year. The calendar will be reduced up to 4 days if not needed to offset school closings due to inclement weather. If bad weather continues to develop while students are in school and dismissal will be early, this also will be announced on the radio and television stations. If you are not at home during the day, be sure to have plans set aside for your child which he/she understands in case of early dismissal. The school will be sending home a form to be completed regarding your plan. Early completions of the Emergency Form will aid the school in helping your child.

If a child has an accident or becomes ill she/he is taken to the Health Suite and parents or persons designated on the child’s Emergency Contact Form are contacted by the school nurse or other school personnel.

In the event you need to pick your child up early from school, a note is necessary and should be brought to the child’s teacher. Parents must sign the book in the school office when they are having their children dismissed early.
